A&E has outbid other suitors for a drama project. Deadline.com reports that the cable channel secured the rights to the amateur bull riding drama "Blood, Sweat & Tears.”

The project, a serialized drama set in Texas, comes from TV writer Chad Feehan of "Southland" and director Joe Carnahan of "Narc.” Feehan is writing the script, which is about the world of amateur bull riding, while Carnahan will direct.
