A pizza guy who found himself at the center of one of Oscar night’s most entertaining stories belatedly got his tip — during an appearance on "Ellen."

"When Edgar Martirosyan got the call to deliver pizza to Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre during Sunday night’s Academy Awards, he thought he was bringing dinner to some writers. Then he found himself onstage with host Ellen DeGeneres, in front of 43 million viewers at home," the San Jose Mercury News reports.

"After passing out slices to some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, he seemed to walk away without a tip. DeGeneres admitted, ‘I don’t have any money,’ and Sandra Bullock gave a shrug."

Martirosyan, the co-owner of Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria, reportedly was gone by the time the Oscars host — with much fanfare — passed a Pharrell-style hat among the A-list crowd, collecting what DeGeneres says was about $600.

Martirosyan made his way Monday to DeGeneres’ daytime talk show, where DeGeneres dug into her own pocket to round it up to "about $1,000," she said.

The pizza man talked on the show about how DeGeneres surprised him on Oscar night and he unexpectedly wound up on stage. Here’s a short clip:
