Trouble on the Set of Sheen’s ‘Anger Management’?

Charlie Sheen’s FX comedy series "Anger Management" appears to be running into problems, and the show’s star is at the center of it, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.

Sheen has missed several days of work on the sitcom, pushing back the show’s production schedule and angering fellow cast members, the story reports. The article cites unnamed sources.

“One source says the ‘Anger’ cast is threatening to stop working if the absences persist,” the piece reports. The production has reportedly turned to stand-ins for Sheen in some scenes, the piece adds.

A representative for Lionsgate, which produces the show, declined to comment. Sheen’s rep said the show hasn’t used stand-ins or shot around the actor, and blamed a break in shooting last week on another cast member with a sick relative. "Charlie is always ready, willing and able to shoot ‘Anger Management’ and looks forward to returning on Monday,” the rep said late last week.

Lionsgate and FX have pledged to create 100 episodes of the show, after an initial test reached a ratings threshold.

The story adds: “Sheen had struggled with substance abuse and famously was fired from his former hit sitcom ‘Two and a Half Men,’ leading some to wonder whether he could be counted on to perform in 100 episodes of television. ‘Anger’ now is about two-thirds of the way through its 100-episode order, with shooting scheduled to finish this fall. The current delays are not expected to push the overall end date.”

Sheen has performed “as usual” while on set, but some have questioned his “erratic behavior of late,” the story reports. “His odd appearance on Jay Leno’s final week of ‘The Tonight Show’ in February had some questioning the newly engaged actor’s state,” the article adds.
