This shows that Rosie is full of baloney. She always took credit for the rise in ratings. But look now without her!

Sherri Shepperd's debut on Monday Sept. 10th got a 3.9 rating which is much higher than the average (3.4) for the entire week. The numbers are inflated because of anticipation. Wait until October when things settle down and all shows are in their new season.

No one debuted (for The View) in Rosie's second week.

While im all about creative use of ratings, I think we need to do something with the lovely people at the view insisting that the ratings are up without rosie when in fact they are not. Please check out perez hilton from yesterday stating their ratings are up +16% versus YAG.

Here is the real data based on live plus same day viewing:

P2+ 3,576 + 7.8%
HH 2.8 rating versus 2.66 YAG + 5.3%
W 18- 49 1.47 versus 1.6 YAG - 8.8%
W 25-54 1.77 versus 1.92 YAG - 8.5%
W 18-34 1.03 versus 1.23 YAG - 19.4%
W 50+ 2.3 versus 2.13 YAG + 8.0 %

Note that the show is bought from an advertising perspective which is their only revenue stream on either the W 18-49 or 25-54 demo meaning they are LOSING revenue versus YAG. Also, the most valuable demo is the younger one 18-34 which is really hemmoraging. They are picking up older viewers 50+ which are of less value to advertisers.

Again - they should really use the ACTUAL REAL numbers in their press statements and if they don’t, then maybe we should…..

I was a VIEW watcher until yesterday...why does joy always put down Canada??I let it go for awhile but yesterday she said she never thought she would be alive to see the American dollar lower than Canada's...Firstly, the dollar is at par so she does not even take time to make sure what she yells about is true..when she made this statement whoppie said with a twisted up face "oh, dont't even go there". This is rude and I will not be a view watcher no longer. we here in Canada do not enoy hearing that sort of put down.

The issue about the White House Christmas card was unbelievable! Barbara said "...the President who represents us all, send out a RELIGIOUS Christmas card." Um, the card was signed by President and Mrs. Bush, not from "All the American People." The President is Christian and last time I looked Christmas was a Christian holiday.

Although I'm Christian I have Jewish friends that send me "Happy Hanukkah" cards and I'm not offended. Would Barbara be offended? What if an African-American sent a "Kwanza" card to her? Or a Muslim sent her a "Ramadan" card? The ignorance is staggering!

Yet one more BLANTANT example of a person who constantly touts herself as "tolerant" being completely intolerant.

When watching the VIEW on July 23rd, Joy made a comment regarding the fact that nobody sees the war dead brought home in the body bags. Well Joy, you messed up on this one. The bodies are not brought back in body bags, they are brought back in coffins drapped with an American Flag with a Military escort. You, Joy, are so intent on bashing the current government that you will say anything, wether you know the facts or not. I wish I could send you some of the e-mails I have received showing just how these fallen heros have been brought home. Wake up, get off your high horse and remember just what they have been fighting for. Take a good look Joy, learn the facts.

SO TODAY I WATCHED AND I AM SORRY TO SAY THAT ELIZABETH REALLY NEEDS TO TONE IT DOWN, SHE IS VERY ANNOYING TO WATCH BECAUSE SHE THINKS SHE KNOWS IT ALL BUT SHE CLEARLY DOES NOT !! Elizabeth yo make it hard to be a republican there are bad things on both sides of thisle you need to you your own judgement before your vote you come accross as shrill and carried away.

I find it interesting that the View's ratings have increased. I stopped watching the show during the election run because I couldn't stand to listen to Joy Behar attenpting to be a political analyst. Joy spent the entire time during the election screaming out talking points. Elizabeth (although not representing the popular ticket) was more well versed and educated on current and past historical knowledge than Joy was. I was disgusted by the remarks Joy Behar made on the View's Veterans Day Show regarding war statistics and Bush policy (saw it on Morning Joe this am). Anyone knows that the purpose of Veterans Day is to honor the people like my husband who have fought or lost their lives for our freedom.
Joy Behar is a disgrace and doesn't have a clue what it is to sacrifice anything. Why do we put people like Joy Behar on the television.. to promote ignorance instead of American pride?

gets on her political agenda(which is nonstop) it shows her level of maturity and one sidedness. She is beyond hope and causes my blood pressure and stress level to rise with her right wing partisan conservative views. Its all right to have "A VIEW" but she is blindly in love with the republican party no matter what their policies are (ie torture outsourcing) and obviously has never been unemployed,broke,uninsured or uninsurable, exposed to poverty,hungry(except her self imposed stint on survivor), homeless or a minority. Its understandable where this blonde,rich, white chick is coming from. I really don't care now lets get someone else in her place so she can go to FOX network or Rush Limbaugh so they may all collaborate in their mission to misinform the American public in colusion with the corporations which are REALLY in control.
I do not actively watch THE VIEW anymore because of this VERY annoying person. I wish to see a replacement for her soon. ROSIE O"DONNELL would be a fitting end to this since she got the blame for Elizabeth's bull headed attitude.

I watched The View today and I'm still shocked at Whoopie's atttitude of children born out of wedlock. Our country is suffering so because of the burden of all these care-free people having illegitimate children, they add such burden to the welfare, state and country plus the morale decency we are trying to teach our chilren. Ignorance is taking over. Sherri talking about her abortions and wanting sex with whomever is available, is sickening. Barbara, what has happen to your values? As far as Sarah Palin daughter, she should get married, finish school, stay out of the spotlight. That makes sense to me and the people I'm associated with. Too much trash on the view.

Sherri Sheperd commented on the poor quality of Washington D.C.'s public schools. She is hardly qualified to evaluate the quality of educational institutions, judging by the daily revelations of her ignorance. She massacres the English language (has absolutely no idea of syntax)which reveals either HER poor school(s) or HER low I.Q. We wonder how Barbara Walters can bear to be associated with her. Ms. Shepherd is a reflection of our country's low educational rating.
