Sunday night’s premiere of the ABC Family original movie “Holiday in Handcuffs” was the network’s highest-rated telecast of all time in several key demos.
The movie, starring Mario Lopez and Melissa Joan Hart, broke ABC Family records among total viewers (6.7 million) and adults 18 to 49 (a 2.4 rating).
“Handcuffs” was ABC Family’s tentpole event for its annual “25 Days of Christmas” programming campaign.
For its first nine days, “25 Days” is tracking stronger in the ratings than ever with supporting programs such as theatricals “The Santa Clause 2” and “The Polar Express.”

Any holiday telepic with a new spin deserves the ratings it gets. :)

I'm no prude, but what's so "Family" about a film that exposed my kids to jokes about each of the following topics: sado-masochism, porn flicks, people having sex, male genatalia, homosexuality, kidnapping, & theft, all delivered with a script salted with some pretty foul language? We won't be tuning in again to the "ABC Family" channel w/ the popcorn and kids.
