Video search service Pixsy struck a deal with Lycos to power video and image search across Lycos.

Lycos will use Pixsy to let users search for the latest Web videos and photos.

As a video search engine, Pixsy competes with Truveo and Blinkx. However, Pixsy has focused on striking deals for private-label search with other Web sites, such as Lycos.
