Investors Put $15 Million Into Next New Networks
Next New Networks, a media company specializing in digital content production and distribution, has raised $15 million from investors Goldman & Velocity Interactive Group, Spark Capital, Saban Media Group and Bob Pittman.
Next New’s original content garnered 33 million video views in February across its 12 networks, which include Barely Political, Indy Mogul and Ultra Kawaii.
“Meth Minutes,” which appears on Next New’s Frederator channel, averages between 300,000 and 500,000 views each week thanks to videos like “Obama Girl,” which received extensive press coverage during recent presidential primaries.
The company disclosed the investment information in a statement Wednesday that also announced a plan to add AOL to its current roster of channel partners, which include TiVo, YouTube and iTunes.
