TBS Adds Darling, Martinez as Baseball Analysts

Analysts Ron Darling and Buck Martinez will join Chip Caray this baseball season on TBS.

Mr. Darling is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who won an Emmy Award for his work in broadcasting. He is a radio announcer for Sports Net New York and previously served as a game-site and studio analyst for TBS. He will provide analysis with Mr. Caray during regular season, League Division Series and American League Championship Series coverage.

Mr. Martinez is a former MLB player and manager who has over 22 years of sports broadcasting experience on television and radio. He will join Mr. Caray for TBS Sunday afternoon game telecasts.

“Ron Darling has established himself as one of the most eloquent and opinionated voices in the game and we are looking forward to showcasing his personality to our TBS audience,” Turner Sports Senior VP Jeff Behnke said of his new analysis team. “Buck Martinez is simply regarded as one of the best analysts in baseball and his experience as a player, manager and behind the microphone will elevate our telecasts throughout the year and during our postseason coverage.”

TBS’s coverage of Major League Baseball begins April 6 at 1 p.m. ET, with a Boston Red Sox vs. Toronto Blue Jays game.
