Trib Station Switches to Fox Tribe, I Like It!

Just one question, will XETV become a CW station or will it be an independent station once again???

Marty, Joannie and Judy did an incredible job branding FOX6 over the years as it was the first station in the market to drop its calls for the branded handle. There was no mistaking where Fox was on the dial. Too bad the current GM ran the station into the ground.

Who will become the CW now? XETV or KUSI?
Don't want to miss the next season of Smallville.

Will XETV revert to analog broadcasting in Spanish? The digital change in 2009 does not affect Mexican stations.

I am Glad, Now FOX will be on an American Station. Keep the ad $$$ at home.

Maby the shows will start and stop on time so my DVR will get the whole show!

All the news will be in HD. They are openings for news broadcasting. There will be a morning and a 10pm news show. Of course it will be in HD. Thats if you watch the HD channel and have everything hooked up right. The KTLA and KNSD news broadcasts will be dropped for the in house Fox 5 broadcasts. They also hired some top KTLA news manager.

It's me again. Well Kathleen Bade will be the news anchor for the 10pm HD news broadcast. Hope this helps.

I've watched Fox6 forever. I don't like the changes being made, especially without the input of the public. The FCC reason given doesn't fly with me since the programming hasent changed much in years. It's a stupid, stupid move!

What about the simpsons?

The Comedy lineup on XETV pretty much stays the same. Frasier gets dumped for South Park on August 4th. From 5 to 6 PM you can now watch an edited version of South Park. KSWB will probably keep their programming the same except for Fox 5 stuff. A new 15 minute Saturday-Sunday Sports show will be added. Troy Hirsch will host it and will also be the 10 PM sports reporter. Some new reporters have also been added. Chrissy Russo will be doing the morning weather and traffic. They are really advertising the fox 5 switch. It's just 1 channel down for Fox and 1 channel up for CW. For antenna and Satellite it's 69. Hope this helps.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
