Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle, will make her first late-night TV appearance on "The Colbert Report" Tuesday.
She will join host Stephen Colbert at the 900-seat Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Zellerbach Theatre on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania as part of “Report’s” week-long coverage of the Pennsylvania primary. It’s the Comedy Central show’s first remote broadcasts.
Other guests on the Peabody Award-winning show this week will include Rep. Joe Sestak, D-Pa., Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell; Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter; Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Pa., (the only sitting Congressman to have served in Iraq); MSNBC’s Chris Matthews; musical performances by The Roots and John Legend; and a special appearance by the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders.

Just look at Colbert's line-up of upcoming guests (so very, very liberal).
It's no wonder Michelle "Foot in Mouth" Obama picked this show. She knows that O'Reilly rip-off will only ask softball questions and not press her on her elitist stupidity.

Tony, calling anyone who grew up on Chicago's southern side of that city "elitist" only underscores your own stupidity.
Take your partisan crap elsewhere -- or at least play fair in applying the "foot-in-mouth" tag to much more deserving people such Sniper-Fire-Dodger Clinton and 100-Years-in-Iraq McCain.
TV Week should monitor and delete such trash comments and not allow that pseudo-politicking and personal insults here.
The internet accommodates such BS behavior with plenty enough places already.

You have a good name, Tony Pistone, but it is not quite right for you. Should be Tony PissedOff! Because that is how you sound! And about what? That Michelle Obama is going to be on Colbert?
I don't get it!

Thank you Julie. To even call Colbert an O'Reilly rip-off further illustrates just how intelligent conversation, irony and sarcastic wit are lost on our unfortunate right-wing posters. Lord have mercy.

Julie nailed it...
There are plenty of other politically oriented websites to post your B.S. rants. This is supposed to be about the business of television. Not trying to spin the reader to your way of thinking about politics. Get real...or Get off the site!

I listened to a speech a month or so ago. Michelle Obama was speaking on behalf of her husband. Her dignity, poise, and eloquence brought a lump to my throat. It's been quite a while since anyone could move me that way. Michelle is every bit as brilliant as her husband, and in my mind would make a truly exceptional First Lady. What a class act!

Excuse this 77 year old man for answering Tony:
Poor Tony Pissst-off!
Uninformed and full of soundbites like a parrot. Elitist?
Barack and Michelle are 'elite' and elite means 'the best'. I am grateful that finally we have someone exceptionaly 'elite', someone we can trust, someone who came from our ranks, someone who knows hardship, someone who has given time and effort to help people in need.
What has Tony done except offering uneducated insalts?
