Hitchcock Joins Discovery Channel
Discovery Communications has named James Hitchcock the marketing and branding officer at the Discovery Channel.
Before joining Discovery, Mr. Hitchcock was senior VP of marketing at MTV Networks’ CMT. Before that, he was a director at creative firms Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, Chiat Day and Fallon McElligott Berlin.
“Discovery Channel has always charted a bold course in programming and brand identity,” Discovery Channel President John Ford said in a statement Wednesday. “James continues that tradition by bringing a fresh, invigorating approach to his craft and by pushing beyond the boundaries of traditional marketing.”
