NBC Launches Digital Health Network Online

NBC Universal is getting into the digital health information business, the media giant announced today.

NBC Universal Digital Media said it has formed the Digital Health Network, a new business that is focused on offering premium health videos online. The network will launch in the next month and will distribute content via Healthline Networks, RightHealth and YourTotalHealth.com.

The NBC Digital Health Network will have access to nearly 100 original health-centric videos created weekly.

The goal of the online network is to provide premium health information to increase patient education, NBC said.

The new service will compete with existing health information services online such as the video-centric online network HealthiNation.com.
