Seacrest Parents NBC's 'Boy'
"American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest is bringing his brand of reality TV to NBC.
The network has teamed with Seacrest for a new reality show dubbed "Momma's Boy" in which mothers of eligible bachelors "help their sons pick the right woman," according to a casting notice for the series posted on NBC.com.
"Producers are looking for moms and their sons who are willing to work together as a team to find the perfect mate," the ad on NBC's Web site said. "These mothers should have strong opinions about whom their sons should date and be willing to separate the good from the bad."
The network said Seacrest would executive produce the series along with the producers of a past NBC reality show, "Average Joe." The latter is almost certainly a reference to "Joe" producer Andrew Glassman, though an NBC rep couldn't be reached to confirm details of the casting notice.
Most of Seacrest's efforts as a reality producer have been for E! Entertainment Television, where he has an overall deal. The "Idol" host produces the network's successful series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
Glassman recently signed a production deal with IMG Entertainment.

I'd love to nominate my brother & mom to be on this show. My brother is 31, good looking, smart as a whip, funny and gay. He's not a big dater, and my mom would love to see him as happy as I am in my relationship. (I'm getting married this fall.)
Help me hook my brother up! Where do we apply?
Shayna
Yes, how lovely. Mothers with "strong opinions" usually make mother-in-laws from hell. Beware anyone who hooks up with any of these men. Next thing we know, Seacrest will be producing another reality show for the future spouses called "How To Survive Our Mother-In-Laws and Help Our Husbands Grow Some B@lls".
Joanna
I agree with Shayna. Any woman with half a brain wouldn't marry one of these guys. But then, this is reality TV so....
Priscilla
If I had met my mother-in-law before my husband, I never would have given him a second look. How can these guys expect to find "the one" if they're tied to Mrs. Strong Opinions apron strings?
Debbie
I couldn't agree more with Shayna, Joanna and Priscilla! Shayna I hope they come out with a reality show like the one you described. Only one problem mama's boys will never grow any b@lls! In the meantime check out the "Mother in Law Stories" website.

Have you ever seen a reality show that was real
this is just another stupid program for those of you with nothing in your lives What man (not boy) would allow his mother to make his choices for him
