‘Bridezillas’ Scare Up Ratings

The fifth-season premiere of WE tv’s “Bridezillas” on Sunday garnered 1 million total viewers, making it the highest-rated premiere episode of the series, according to Nielsen Media Research.

The broadcast attracted a 0.8 household rating, up 21% by that measure from last season’s premiere of “Bridezillas,” and a cumulative 1.5 household rating following two encore airings on Sunday night.

The debut also generated the network’s highest numbers for a premiere among women 18-34, women 18-49 and women 25-54 at 234,000, 408,000 and 316,000, respectively.

Traffic for the network’s recently relaunched Web site also was up following the premiere. Page views for the “Bridezilla Me” interactive applications and’s home page on the day of and following the premiere were nearly double last month’s numbers, according to Omniture.
