Comedy Central to Roast Bob Saget

The “Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget” will air Aug. 17 on the cable network.

"It's an honor. … My ass is already sore," Mr. Saget stated.

Mr. Saget is best known for his role on “Full House.” He hosted “America’s Funniest Home Videos” for eight years, as well as the NBC game show “1 vs. 100,” and is the narrator of CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother.” He has made a career in edgier standup comedy, television and film work.

“Bob Saget is one of the true nice guys. I've apologized to him in advance for what this evening holds in store for him," Elizabeth Porter, senior VP of specials and talent for Comedy Central, said in a statement.

“Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget” will be executive produced by Tenth Planet Productions’ Joel Gallen, who also executive produced and directed “Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav,” the Emmy-nominated “Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner” and “Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson.”

I love Bob Sagat's comedy. Many people have no idea how edgy his comedy is because they thing of the Full house guy when they think of Sagat. Looking forward to this.
