I think this movie was awsome. It doesnt matter that it didnt beat out HSM2..its the first Camp Rock..it beat out HSM cuz not many people knew about the first High School Musical, more people were familiarized with the second one with time passed. If the rumors are true and there is a Camp Rock 2 it will do just as good as the second high school musical actually even better.

This movie sucks and you should all be ashamed for liking it. Go watch a good movie for once. HOT FUZZ FTW!!!

What a disappointment! I think this movie doesn't really live up to its expectations despite a lot of advertising, big names like the Jonas Brothers, and Disney's brand. The story is alright but the screenplay is absolutely horrendous. The actors don't seem to be able to portrait the characters well enough either.

Camp Rock was just down right AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I am so happy it beat out High School Musical!! It was totally worth the wait!! I love u Jonas Brothers!!!!!!!!

I absolutely loved Camp Rock. I think it has a great plot line and amazing actors/singers in it. Demi Lovato just blew me away. You would never expect such a powerful voice to come out of her. She is such a great singer. I think she is going to be the next Miley. Although Miley is still great. But Camp Rock was good, and it was so funny. You have to be really uptight if you didn't find humor in this movie. I think it is so much better than HSM and HSM2. I really like how whenever there is music it's a performance and not like oh okay let's randomly break out into song now and pretend like we all just happen to know the same dance moves. But yeah now my review is like a novel so I'm going to stop. But yeah it was absolutely FANTASTIC!

Hey rosalinat! You suck! Camp Rock sucked. Jonas Brothers fail at acting. Demi Lovato fails at singing. It's overrated as hell. Any of who liked the movie doesn't know better.

What's with all these cheesy musicals? What happened to the good ole' disney movies they used to make? You know, like: Motocrossed,Jet Jackson, Double Teamed, Right in Track, Brink!, the Color of Friendship, and the movies with the Lawrence brothers in them? Why can't they make more movies like those?

Okay, five things I would change about the movie:

1)the music - none of the songs were catchy, except for the last one, the "We Rock" one, you know which one i'm talking about? That one was catchy, but I would never buy it.

2)the actors - Come on you guys,don't lie, you know the acting was'nt so good.

3)the hook up - the main girl and the rude guy should'nt of ended up together...it was kind of weird. You know what I mean?

4) the ending - I don't see how that guitar girl won. She had a good voice, but the song and performance were both kind of...boring. Come on guys, you know you went into lala land during her performance. I think the blonde girl with the mirrors should of won. Her voice was good, her song was good, and her performance was good.

5) the mean girl - I know she's suppossed to be mean, but she was so annoying. And the end where she decided to be nice was so cliche.

I was really excited when Camp Rock came out. Because of all the publicity and promotion it had, i expected it to beat High School Musical 2. It had way MORE protomotion and should have dominated ratings, it did, somewhat. I hoped and wished that Joe Jonas would be a great actor, and i was very disappointed. However, Demi's performance was great and the tunes were catchy

The movie was cute..i loved it. I mean I understand why Joe and Nick Jonas weren't shown as much. But if i was the director..i would've made some slight changes in the movie. Personally, I loved this movie! The music was way better than HSM, and though the acting wasn't perfect, it wasn't terrible. Joe's acting was actually pretty good, and Demi's voice is amazing. I also liked how they didn't randomly burst into song like in HSM. I wish Nick would've been in it more, but it was still good and I can't wait for the second. Oh and to the people on here saying Camp Rock sucked, well, if it sucked so much, then why are you wasting your time reading articles about it and posting here, anyway??

I didn't really like the movie. It was watchable, but not at all in the same league as HSM. (Oh and just so you know High School Musical is just that a musical, so you are supposed to randomly burst into song) What HSM has is special. It wasn't supposed to be so big. It was just a little Disney Channel Original movie that sent Disney on it's ear. Those just don't happen all the time.

High School Musical didn't need the Jonas Brothers to make it the next big thing. It stood on it's own. Without the Jonas Brothers in this movie, the ratings wouldn't have even touched the first HSM. It was an overproduced, overpublicized movie. And the only thing that will save a sequel is.....Kenny Ortega. Get him and maybe Camp Rock 2 will actual be deserving of praise.

Terrible acting and terrible singing. Sorry folks, but the Jonas Brothers don't sing. They use a high pitch whine. The story line was typical Disney. Unlucky kid does something special (Snow White, Cinderella, Mulan). It is something that works, so Disney will use it. The lip syncing in this movie was extremely bad. It didn't match the music at all. After watching it with my daughter, I can honestly say that this movie wasn't watched because it was a good movie, it was watched because there are people in it that people like. It's like watching your favorite baseball team losing. They will still be your favorite baseball team, no matter how bad they are.

I'm really sorry to all of the Jonas Brothers' fans but that movie was terrible. I agree with Tony, people just watched it because of the "actors" in it. The singing/acting was not very good and Molly you need to get a life.

I can't believe you all think the movie is good. Think of this, if the Jonas Brothers weren't in the movie, would you think it was as good?
Of course not. You wouldn't think it was good at all. Without those boys, the movie is blander and more cliche than ever.
It still is, even with their three angelic faces in it.
So please, do us all a favor, and grow up. Watch a decent movie with an actual storyline and deep characters that actually draw you in instead of leaving a bad taste in your mouth.

The acting of the one blonde, mean girl was comical. The songs in camp rock either didn't do Demi Levato's voice justice or she just can't sing for crap...
And that one "I just want to play my music blah blah blah" song was the worst and most boring of the songs in the entire movie. These Disney writers are trying to be deep, it's laughable really...
And yet my sister loved it.

I just can't wait for the Jonas Brothers to be washed up (What do you think guys? I give them another 2 years. Probably after Hannah Montana)

Haha, all these comments of pre-teens praising Camp Rock is quite hilarious. Look, I have nothing against the Jonas Brothers, I love their music, but truly disliked the movie. Even though Camp Rock had more views than HSM, I feel that it didn't beat the phenomina HSM had. HSM came out with unknown actors who actually have talent in singing, acting, and dancing. They didn't expect it to be as big as it was, Camp Rock had soooo much promotion and it still didn't beat HSM 2. I watched the movie first before I had an opinion, and that movie took away two precious hours of my life. The movie was overrated and had cliches off the wazoo. The acting was pretty bad, even for a just-made-for-television movie.

The only positive thing that I will say about this movie was that Joe Jonas wasn't as bad as an actor as I thought he would be. He wasn't great, but he wasn't a total train wreck. The only good song in the entire movie was "Gotta Find You."
