'Top Chef' Gives Birth to 'Junior'

Bravo’s “Top Chef” is cooking up an offspring.

The network said it is developing “Top Chef Junior,” an eight-episode series in which teens will take on culinary challenges, just like their grown-up counterparts on the top-rated cooking show.

The network also picked up a untitled project that will follow Jean-Christophe Novelli, named the world’s sexiest chef by the New York Times, as he moves to Los Angeles to set up a cooking school.

"With 'Top Chef'' as the No. 1 food show on cable comes the natural expansion in our food domain," said Frances Berwick. executive VP and general manager of Bravo Media. "With 'Top Chef Junior' we're reaching a growing market and are developing a series that will teach and test the skills of younger aspiring chefs and appeal to the whole family. We feel that Jean-Christophe Novelli's reputation, personality and expertise will prove incredibly enticing to our passionate core audience."

Hey!

I would really appreciate it if you sent me any information regarding auditions for Top Chef Junior! I have quite a passion for cooking and would love to be given the chance to show you what I have got to offer Bravo! I'm 16 and Asian. I could be that one softspoken, innocent one out of the group who puts an awesome Asian flare on all the dishes she serves up!

Sincerely,
Bianca

Hi everyone who is tuning in this site about the auditions of 'Top Chef Junior'. I am an aspiring oriental chef, specifically a Filipino and would want to join in the said show. My whole life is very influenced by food caused by growing up with a family with a diverse vantage and skills in food. I think I could show the world how talented I am in cooking. I'm just 15 and my classmates and friends would cr5ave for my dishes when i serve them on small parties and gatherings. So please, could anyone help me audition for that upcoming show? Considering that the audition could be done internationally?

Thanks to someone who could help me. I will be in 'your' debt.

Have a nice day.

Wondering if this young chef would like to cook or teach kids in a well equipped outdoor kitchen with a great view in Tuscany?? I have had for 20 years a cooking school, never advertised, only word of mouth, but thought it could be fun and different. Have a great clientle and can give good referrals if needed. Love kids and all mine are pretty good cooks now as adults. My specialty is visiting local food artisans such as makers of parmigiano, prosciutto, balsamico, make our own olive oil in Nov. and go truffle hunting with the dogs. We are a small family operation, have lots of fun, low key and no famous chefs but plenty of well known clients.
