Bakula Joins TNT's 'Men of a Certain Age'

Scott Bakula is leaping into a new TV role, joining the cast of Ray Romano’s TNT drama pilot “Men of a Certain Age.”

Mr. Bakula will play a struggling actor named Terry who’s friends with the characters played by Mr. Romano and the previously cast Andre Braugher. The show will follow the three fourtysomething men, best friends since college who are now approaching midlife.

Mr. Bakula starred in "Star Trek: Enterprise," with other credits including a starring role on “Quantum Leap” and recurring roles on “The New Adventures of Old Christine” and “Murphy Brown.” Most recently he appeared in stage musicals in Los Angeles and San Diego.

Mr. Romano and Mike Royce wrote the pilot script for “Men” and are executive producers with Rory Rosegarten and Cary Hoffman.

Scott Winant ("Huff," "Californication") has agreed to direct the pilot.

Sounds like an interesting cast. I was distracted by the fact that the writer cannot spell forty............. no wonder the kids can't spell...............

No way,Scott Bakula.Way to kill a show, didn't anybody learn from "Enterprise".The star trek franchise was gold until they threw that has-been the captains role. Paramount's numbers will never be the same without this franchise, nice going , apes in suits at the helm for sure....

K.O. You're an @ss. If Bakula is in this series than it's sure to be awesome. I'll tune in for him alone. And in my opinion, he was the best, (and sexiest) Enterprise captain next to Kirk.

SCOTT BAKULA IS EXTREMELY TALENTED. HE NEVER RECEIVED ANY ACCOLADES FOR THE MANY DIFFERENT ROLES HE PLAYED ON QUANTUM LEAP (SAME FOR DEAN STOCKWELL). LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING HIM AGAIN.
AND NO-I DIDN'T CARE FOR THE BATTLESTAR GALLACTIA ROLE.

Never mind Scott Bakula! If Ray Romano is in it, it ought to be great! I will certainly be watching! Good luck on the new show!

Looking forward to "Men". Scott Bakula is great. Which date does the show begin and at what time?

I think first of all that Scott is a wonderful actor and in a class by himself. So if he decides to do a show then I know that it will be great. He tries to choose his projects wisely.

I'm looking forward to it, and that's saying a great deal, because I'm not a big TV watcher. And KO, it wasn't Scott who killed Enterprise. That show was on for 4 seasons - not the longest running show ever, but not the shortest either. I think the network pulled it before its time - and again, NOT because of Scott. Sorry KO! :-)
