Showtime Orders 'Nurse Jackie,' Grows 'Weeds'
Showtime is hiring "Nurse Jackie" to series, allowing “The Sopranos’” Edie Falco to return to pay cable, the network’s president of entertainment Robert Greenblatt announced during the Television Critics Association press tour today.
Mr. Greenblatt also confirmed the pickup of two additional 13-episode seasons of "Weeds," the show's fifth and sixth.
Ms. Falco plays "Nurse Jackie," a complicated woman working in an inner-city hospital. Mr. Greenblatt said the show would air sometime in the spring or early summer.
He also alluded to a possible spinoff of “The L Word” in the works. “The L Word” is set to air its final season in 2009. Mr. Greenblatt said the series will end in an open-ended format that would allow it to continue online in some form.
If the spinoff occurs, the online element would connect it back to the air.

Question -- Could Weeds be an hour long?
I think it could, I really do, without diminished quality.
I actually thought that was the point of this article, per the headline.
What do you think?

So, people have been asking me who the band is performing the song on the new "Nurse Jackie" promo and after some quality research, I dug them up. The band is called "TERRAPLANE SUN" and the song is called"Is There A Way." They are from Venice, Ca. and they are apparently amazing. There's your answer.

Thank you for digging that up. I listened to more of their stuff and it's great.
