Jonathan Dube was named Vice President and Deirdre Michalopoulos was named Managing Editor of ABCNews.com today.
For Mr. Dube, today’s announcement marks a return to the news site. He previously worked as a national producer for ABCNews.com in 1999, covering events such as the Columbine High School shooting and the Seattle World Trade Organization protests. Most recently, Mr. Dube served as the director of digital media for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Ms. Michalopoulos was promoted in-house, having recently served as a senior producer for ABCNews.com. She will oversee the editorial content and production of the 24/7 online news service.
“We are thrilled to have Jonathan back at ABC News where he began his career in digital media. I know that Jonathan and Deirdre will take ABCNews.com to even greater heights with their leadership and editorial instincts,” David Westin, president of ABC News, said in a statement.
