Foxworthy Signs on for Syndie '5th Grader'
Twentieth Television, along with Mark Burnett Productions and Zoo Productions, has finally landed “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” host Jeff Foxworthy to handle double duty as the series prepares for its launch as a daytime strip in 2009.
Multiple sources said Mr. Foxworthy has agreed to host the daytime version of the popular Fox prime-time show, which is being targeted for a fall 2009 launch. An announcement is expected in the coming days.
Twentieth locked in the deal with Mr. Burnett’s production company last month after a round of vigorous bidding among several distributors. Executives at Twentieth remained determined to continue Mr. Foxworthy’s affiliation with the show after finally landing rights to the series in August.
The series now will almost certainly move forward in the development process, according to company insiders, and sales meetings with stations are quickly moving forward.
“Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader” becomes the second prime-time game show in two years to add a daytime element, joining NBC Universal’s “Deal or No Deal,” which debuted this week.
A representative for Twentieth Television confirmed the signing of Mr. Foxworthy.

I have this strange feeling and I don`t know why but would your show Smarter Than A Fifth Grader have anything to do with trying to make the world smile at Nova Scotia because I want to thank you for helping us make that a reality.
Being Santa,GOD wanted me make sure that Christmas is a daily event not just a one day a year event so GOD asked me to send you a few brain teasers that "5 year olds" can read here in Nova Scotia and if a 5 year old in Nova Scotia can read them surely someone of your intelligence would be able to understand them and use them on your shows to make fun of people and situations you probably don`t know any more about than just stupid gossip.
