Google Improves Search Technology for TV Ad Platform
Google said it instituted new search technology today for the Google TV Ads Platform that will let advertisers make their TV spots more targeted.
Google TV Ads is the search giant’s foray into the TV advertising business that lets marketers buy TV spots in the Google system based on the same auction technology that has made Google’s search advertising business so popular.
The upgrade lets advertisers search broadly for programs to sponsor using a keyword. In the past the Google platform used exact matches between a keyword and the TV program’s title, description, cast, genre, episode information or network.
Google said in an e-mail that this search technology will return TV programs that are more relevant to concepts.
