HBO Pay-Per-View and Digital Influence Group have partnered to create “Dream Fight,” an interactive Facebook application.
The Full Throttle Energy Drink-sponsored application will be used to promote the Oscar De La Hoya-Manny Pacquiao event Dec. 6 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The application, which can be found at http://apps.facebook.com/dreamfight, pits Facebook users against each other in a virtual boxing ring. Eligible players can enter a contest for a chance to see the De La-Hoya-Pacquiao match.
“We are always looking for innovative marketing concepts for our pay-per-view events,” Tammy E. Ross, VP of HBO Sports & Pay-Per-View, said in a statement. “Being able to connect Facebook users in a fun and interactive way with a mega-boxing event like De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao provides a platform to help us reach our targeted audience and maximize our effectiveness.”
