KNBC Ups Robinson to President-GM
KNBC-TV in Los Angeles has promoted Craig Robinson to president and general manager.
Mr. Robinson has been the station’s executive vice president of operations and strategy since August 2007. He has been serving as interim general manager since September, following the retirement of Linda Sullivan.
Before joining KNBC, Mr. Robinson was president-general manager of NBC affiliate WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio, and VP of sales for WRC-TV in Washington, D.C. He held various positions at Los Angeles’ KCBS-TV from 1982-96 before joining NBC as director of sales for the Los Angeles national sales office.
“Craig is a great fit for this role,” Larry Wert, NBC Local Media’s president of the central and western region, said in a statement. “He understands both the core stations business and how new technology and consumer demand is changing the face of the local media marketplace. He is a strong leader who will continue KNBC’s evolution from local television station to local digital content provider.”
