Nickelodeon, MTVN Kids & Family Host Panel on Diversity in Animation

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Diversity Committee will hold a discussion tonight at 7 p.m. on diversity in animation at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio.

Among those participating in “Diversity in Animation: Beyond the Color Bars” are Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids & Family Group President of Animation Brown Johnson, Playhouse Disney Worldwide Senior VP Nancy Kanter, Jim Henson Co. Co-CEO Lisa Henson, Cartoon Network VP of Long-Form Development Ramsey Naito, Jambalaya Studios President Bruce Smith, “El Tigre” creator Jorge R. Gutierrez and “Handy Manny” star Wilmer Valderrama.

Former BET executive and “Black Panther” executive producer Reginald Hudlin will moderate the discussion.

The event is hosted by Nickelodeon and MTV Networks Kids & Family Group.
