CBS Orders Five More Episodes of 'Eleventh Hour'

Five more episodes are in the works for CBS’ “Eleventh Hour,” bringing the season order to 18, the network confirmed today.

“Eleventh Hour” attracts an average 12 million viewers per episode, as well as a 3.3 rating/9 share in adults 18-49. The show is bolstered by a “CSI” lead-in on Thursdays, but loses a sizable cut of the audience through the end of the show.

Based on the British series of the same name, “Hour” follows government scientist Dr. Jacob Hood (played by Rufus Sewell) and his FBI partner Rachel Young (Marley Shelton) as they try to stop scientific experiments gone bad.

The show is produced by Warner Bros. Television, Jerry Bruckheimer Television, Granada America and Granada Television International.

I'm pleased to see this really excellent show has been extended. The ratings drop from CSI is a mystery to me.

Fantastic news! Great show - and Marley, as always, is terrific.

This is one of the best new shows of the season. It is well written and Rufus is an exceptional actor. Good news on the 5 more episosdes I hope they keep this show going. I would say The Mentalist and Eleventh Hour are two big hits for CBS. 13 million is nothing to sneeze at. What do they want from a brand new show? Lots of people don't bother with a show until it makes a second season. I hope they don't ax this one before it's time.

I AM SO GLAD to hear that CBS has given the go ahead for 5 more episodes for this awesome series. It & The Mentalist are the best shows on the air right now. I hope that CBS will do everything they can to promote this show so it can have a chance to make it to a second season.
