Sure Ferguson beat out O'Brien; Conan is just so stale. Maybe he'll have the sense to bring Andy Richter back when he changes networks. He needs someone else to mix things up or to bounce off of. I dunno but he needs something!

Frankly, Craig is like a itch, and not the kind you need to scratch. It creeps up on you when you least expect it and once you want it, you HAVE to have it.

Perhaps O'Brien is getting too old for the game, where as Ferguson seems to have only just begun.

Congrats to Craig!
Good luck to Conan.

Craig Ferguson is the most under rated host of the Late Night line-up. His fans love him, count me in there! I saw his stand up show this summer in Easton PA and I don't know if it was sold out but I didn't see one empty seat. I am also a smoker and had no desire to miss any part of his show to feed my habit. Everyone visiting the local pub were also heading out to see his show. I overheard the conversations and had to ask,so your going to see Craig too? Yep, the town was just swimming with Craig fans. I traveled 2 hours to see his live show and I was not disappointed.
So, in conclusion, David Letterman will now have a lock on the 11:30 time slot.
What genius decided on Conan as a replacement for Jay anyway? CBS should send them a thank you note. Maybe I'll just do that myself.
Letterman VS Conan, no brainer. Ferguson VS Fallon = Slaughter!
Let the games begin.

That's AWESOME! The second time that Craig won the ratings! I wonder if Craig knows. He probably does. Craig is my favorate late night talk show host. He's so Sexy, Smart, Funny, Honest, Loyal, Adorable, Talented...Craig Ferguson is the KING of Late Night TV!

I've been a Conan watcher for years. I thought he brought something to late night tv: youth, energy and a different style for a talk show. I also started to watch Craig when he started and through the re-vamping of the show. Again, I appreciated his way different take on the late night scene.

Conan has gotten less spontaneous (he was great during the writers strike) and more programmed as if a dress rehearsal for next year. Craig gets the edge for me in that he talks to us. His openings are real monologues, not bada-boom disconnected "jokes" like Conan is stuck with. There is a sense of connection there of a real person. Just listen to some of his openings when he gets serious with his audience when the times require it instead of a comedic segment.

I just wonder how Conan will do with the pressures of the Tonight Show. I wish him well but will tune to Craig at 11:35.

WOW...they almost reach the same numbers as the failures on the CW's Prime Time schedule.

I Have Loved Craig Ferguson since his first show
even when they were still seeing who would get the
show, never like Kilborn... Connan is sad and not
funny. CRAIG FERGUSON is the KING of Late Night!!!

Craig is freaking hillarious. I might not watch the whole show, mainly because it's late, but I always love to watch his intro and the begining (when he's at the desk reading emails) because I'm usually laughing at everything he's saying. He's so funny. Not that Conan isn't but I never laugh as much with either Conan, Jay, or Dave as much as I do with Craig. It's not just the accent either. I'm sure he would chalk it up publicly to his Scottishness. That's not it. The man is just funny. He knows how to tell a joke. I love too when he's serious--I cried when he talk about his father's life. I've never loved watching a host as much as him. Every other host, late night or daytime, I am not regular about it. I would watch Craig just reading his emails for an hour and commenting on it. He's just funny. I'd love to go to a taping. I'm sure he's even funnier in person. I live in Las Vegas. I should see his show eventually. lol Craig is great!

Hey, O'Brien - know any grammar? Obviously, retards are watching just the right channel. The people with a little more intellect are able to appreciate the humor Craig Ferguson is the master of. So you keep using your head for a hat rack.

user-pic

Miss K, I couldn't have said it better myself.
People usually get ultra angry when they don't understand
Lashing out at those who do understand
O'Brien is one such person
Maybe he only gets one channel?

Hey O'Brien!
Not Conan, but the dope 2 posts up!
Mayb dis isa liddle two much fer u
Pic up a book wit werds
Look up da werd sivil
Itz a cool werd dat sorta meens chill
Dont diss da irish guy on CBS
Ferget dat ginger bitch on NBC

But I digress-

I am sad to say this because I am a long-time fan of Conan's, but Craig Ferguson is waaay funnier than him now. Lately, I cringe more than laugh at Conan's jokes, whereas Ferguson is always funny. I predict that Ferguson's audience is only going to get bigger when Jimmy Fallon (the antithesis of funny)starts his show.

I've tried to watch Conan; I really have. But he's just not funny, and I get bored really fast. AND I'm not saying the following to be mean (really), but he's just NOT good-looking at all! Sort of hurts my eyes to look at him. I'm just stating a fact.

When I found Craig Ferguson in late 2005, I was hooked from the first show! He's hilarious! And, no, it's not just his accent, although it doesn't hurt. :) Craig is extremely personable & an excellent interviewer. I also love many of his skits, especially Prince Charles. LOL

I have chronic illnesses & am disabled, & laughter is great medicine--& Craig ALWAYS provides that! I even prefer him to Leno & Letterman. Long may he reign as the king of late night! CBS has a treasure & they should definitely appreciate him! Craig is fantastic!

Love the Conan bashing, I think i've been watching Conan since I was like 10, now being 23, and I can say I appreciate him a bit more than the newer host Craig Ferguson, I almost feel like people are just jumping on the newer host band wagon, lets see how he holds up after being on the air for the almost 15 years Conan has, see if you think his comedy is still crisp as you all obviously think it is. Im not saying hes not a funny guy but obviously some people are liking him as a person more than how truly funny he is. I could really care less if hes more personable, I watch these shows to be entertained, not to be enamored by the hosts charms. Over all I still think pound for pound Conan brings a better show, and I will be continuing watching him when he moves to be the host of the Tonight show, guess ill get to bed a bit early from now on.

I have found that The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson has really got my attention. I have been watching tv since my parents bought our first black and white set in 1954 which had only three channels. These days I can't seem to find many shows that hold my attention for a duration longer than 20 minutes, but my hat is off to you Craig...you speak not only to my mind, but my heart as well. I just can't get enough of you!Great job! Love you Craig!

"Letterman VS Conan, no brainer. Ferguson VS Fallon = Slaughter!
Let the games begin."

Amen! Craig is going to kick the **** out of Fallon in the ratings. Fallon is NOT funny at all, he is a joke.

I started watching Craig a couple of months ago and his show has quickly become something I look forward to seeing each day. Conan is great at what he does, but after watching him for 15 years and seeing his style change as he gets ready for the earlier time slot... its sad. He's losing his current fanbase and I'm not sure that he'll be able to hang onto those who enjoy Leno. Conan brought it old-school during the strike, so its definitely a conscious decision to change his style.

Dave and Craig are such a good way to wrap up the day. Glad that Craig is seeing more and more viewers. Or...uh... the opposite. :)

I cannot stand to watch Conan and his stupid actions, He is not funny with his slapstick humor. NBC made a grave mistake having this jerk replace Jay. As soon as the Tonight Show is over for the evening, I switch channels to Craig. Conan is a waste.

Alex

Conan does a far better job at interviewing his guests, he can be serious at the right moments but is always hilarious when the opportunity is right. I wonder how Craig will do in the ratings compared to Conan once he switches to the tonight show. Probably not very good. Conan has proven himself for 15 years I would like to see Craig be able to pull that off.

Gary

As stated in an earlier comment Conan has gone stale. His monologues are pathetic. His writers have little to offer but foul language and perversion jokes.

I am so tired of his hand clapping (he should be in the audience) and wasting time saying what a good show it will be.

Not every talk show host can get by without a sidekick. Bring back Andy Richter to rescue the show.

Conan gives me the creeps. He looks like a serial rapist.

Ferguson SUUUUUCKS. 'nuff said

Jenn

user-pic

Hmmm...the genius comments of Lisa and O'Brien notwithstanding, I must agree with the higher intellects that appreciate Craig Ferguson. He is HILARIOUS!

Jay fave, and I look forward to seeing him in Prime Time. I hope NBC has the good sense to let the host of their most profitable TV show the last few years have a lot of license.

But Ferguson is a close second to Jay. I am a new Ferguson fan, but every show has been hilarious!

If NBC is smart, they will ditch Conan and hire CRAIG for 11:30. He would do better against Letterman than Conan will.

Fallon? Just not funny. I won't waste any time on him again.

I think Craig Ferguson is the first late night talk show host who could actually IMPROVE his show by getting rid of guests.

I watch the first 25 minutes, and then I usually turn it off. Craig is 1,000 times more engaging than any of the guests he actually interviews.

His off-the-cuff monologues are just pure brilliance. I make any who profess to be a fan of standup watch them, because there is no one better (and his standup is terrific too). It's a talent that is unequaled.
