Obama Tops Truveo's Viral Video, Live TV Searches of 2008

Musician will.i.am’s “Yes We Can” video, about Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, was the most searched-for viral video of the year, according to AOL-owned video search service Truveo.

Truveo released data on most popular search trends today. It reported that after the will.i.am video, the most searched-for viral videos were “Paris Hilton Responds to John McCain Ad,” a spoof the heiress made of political ads, and “Fred Goes Swimming,” a video from the popular YouTube star Fred.

Truveo said the top live TV moments were President-elect Obama’s victory speech in Chicago, the United States men’s swim team winning the 4x100 meter relay in the Beijing Summer Olympics and “Saturday Night Live’s” Sarah Palin/Hillary Clinton parody.
