A&E Adds ‘Paranormal Cops’ to Slate

A&E is expanding its “Paranormal” franchise with “Paranormal Cops.”

The reality series about a team of Chicago-area cops who also investigate the paranormal has been given the greenlight by the network. The series is expected to debut later this year.

North South Productions produces "Paranormal Cops"; executive producers are Charlie Debevoise and Mark Hickman.

“’Paranormal Cops’ is the perfect marriage of A&E’s successful crime and justice genre with our blossoming paranormal programming that documents real-life accounts of bona fide paranormal investigators,” Robert Sharenow, senior VP of nonfiction and alternative programming for A&E, said in a statement.

Meanwhile, “Paranormal State” will return for a third season on Jan. 19.

The show comes from Four Seasons Productions and Go Go Luckey Productions for A&E Networks. Gary Auerbach, Julie Auerbach and Betsy Schechter are the executive producers.
