Honestly, I am about ready for Smallville to end. I was kind of hoping they would go out with a big finish here at the end of season 8. I am a little disappointed to hear about a 9th season renewal, but nevertheless, I will stick with it to the end.

They need to pull that "Easy View" idea back out and start showing Supernatural from S1 along with maybe OTH from S1. Show repeats of your ancor shows and let people that have never seen any of your shows get a chance to find them.

I am absolutely thrilled that SUPERNATURAL will get to tell it's 5-season story. As the best drama on the network, it deserves it. Woot!! But once again, the CW loves to stick it's head in the sand and pretend that its 'little darlings' (i.e. Gossip Girl and 90210) are the next best thing to sliced bread, whereas the numbers tell the real story: Smallville and Supernatural are the highest rated dramas that have kept CW alive, despite the toughest competition on Thurs night. And while all the other shows across all the other networks were declining, Supernatural is the ONLY one to show growth of 30-40%. Why does everyone insist on ignoring & glossing over this tremendous achievement whenever there is an article about CW? Maybe now the CW can stop slashing the budget and give Supernatural some kudos for a change. But I am grateful for the early renewal :)))

I'm so glad smallville and supernatural are coming back. I'm always trying to get people to watch these two awesome shows, But if you like these ,you should check out Reaper as well, very good show. I hope it continues, please people watch this show. It's good!

While I am relieved we got the much deserved early renewal for Supernatural, it is baffling why it never gets the respect it deserves. While other shows are showing declines in viewership, Supernatural has over a 30% gain in the toughest time slot. New viewers are discovering this show every single week and most quickly become totally captivated by it!

While other shows are becoming stagnant and repetitive, if not boring, Supernatural is taking chances and going for broke and wowing us week after week. Every season they up the ante and give us an even more intense, meaningful show.

And all the females I know would much prefer watching Supernatural than any of the networks preferred darlings. We do have brains and we care about things other than fashion and who is sleeping with whom. I actually think the epic battle between good and evil is pretty darn compelling, not to mention delving deep into the intricacies of such a complex family as the Winchesters. The brotherly bond between Dean and Sam is reason enough to tune in, add in all the extras and why would anyone NOT be watching Supernatural???

Supernatural is not only the best show on The CW, it is the best thing on TV and everyone should be singing its praises. Kripke has given us an amazing story and Jensen and Jared are the only actors capable of bringing such intriguing, layered characters to vivid life.

The only two shows that deserved renewal were "Supernaturnal" and "Smallville" (and "Reaper" should be picked up, too.) Sorry, I'm not buying the fact that "90210" is a hit. The CW can't survive as a broadcast network by targeting women 18-34 alone - and the two most successful shows on the network (The Thursday night shows) aren't even targeted to the demo. And The CW will probably give Sunday back to the affiliates. No one watches The CW on Sunday.

That show is awesome and J-squared are AMAZING! The only show I watch that is in the "bubble" is Privileged. Would suck if it ended like how it did tonight in the season finale.

I was so sick of hearing about Grey's (blah) CSI (okay when bored) and Lost (lost in an ocean of wtf?!) - SPN is a darned fine show - and it is willing to tackle nitty-gritty topics that no one else will touch! I'm so happy that we get this compelling drama for another year!

It is sad that a network is so afraid to champion one of their best (if not THE best) shows they have on offer! Supernatural gives fantastic stories, acting and scenery. Not to mention the hours of discussion, fanart, fanfic and metas that are generated by this show! Fandom at its best (and sometimes worst) has been drawn in by this show - and no surprise. It is just surprising and disappointing that CW can't cheer them on with the rest of us! Look at this comment list! Does 90210 top this bad boy?

I'm nasty picky about what I watch - and this show has drawn me in completely! I have personally 'converted' 7 people - and I'm going for 10! It's too easy - anyone with half a brain is in love with this show - I'm not kidding! What's not to love?

Privileged is okay, but it keeps doing the same thing every single episode. You think you've moved on from something and it's back. I stopped watching it months ago. Sam and Dean Winchester provide the most intriguing and thrilling show in the entire CW lineup -- the other shows don't even compare! I totally love the fact that Supernatural and Smallville are coming back! That's awesome! I can't get enough of watching Sam & Dean. And unfortunately I don't get the CW on my cable network but I do watch both shows on other channels religiously. And as for shows like 90210 and Gossip Girl, I can't stand them. Yeah I used to watch the original 90120 constantly, but that was then. This is now. I just can't watch it. I am firmly into watching Supernatural & Smallville. Both all the way!

I'm no Bible believer either, but I know my Bible, too, if we are to 'toot our own horns'. Not all 'Old Testament' angel visits or activities were 'vengeful and harsh'. Neither was the 'OT' God, Yahweh. Your are the one who needs to get more 'holistically' educated on the Bible.
You also skipped the NEW Testament. Testament on both parts of the Bible mean "Covenant"/agreement between God and humans. There was a switch, and both angels and God started bringing in the new Covenant in the NT's Jesus. LOTS different by a long shot. Not totally, but still 'lots different'.

Please keep The Game and Everyone Hates Chris on the air. These are great positive black shows and have the viewership they need to survive. Of course since the CW caters to mostly caucasian viewers these shows can be overlooked by most who comment. There are still black people that want to watch more than white faces on the tv on every channel. CW don't give up on these shows and lose this audience. Our viewers have always been used to start a network and then once you've gotten what you need you dump us. Please pick up The Game and Everybody Hates Chris. Please don't cancel The Game. We barely have black sitcoms on television as it is especially a good one. I love this show I watch it every Friday and if I can't be here I even tape it on my DVR. I even watch the reruns. But I always look forward to the new episodes as well. Listen to the fans and keep the show alive.

Oh well- if they don't want to get one of the most original shows out there with one of the best casts around off their "bubble", that's their call- I'm used to TV executives having no clue what they're doing- after all, they're still using outdated Nielson rating systems that don't reflect what people are truly watching.

As always, it's one of those simple situations... the renew Reaper or sell it to someone who wants it, or cancel it, and the CW has nothing to offer me otherwise with its poor programming. Using the same Nielson math they do- that's a half million viewers in my demographic that no longer watch the CW or its advertisers.

Be smart- renew Reaper.
