Poehler Show Dubbed 'Parks and Recreation'
Amy Poehler's new comedy seems to have a title: "Parks and Recreation."
NBC hasn't officially announced the show's title, but the network did air a promo for the series featuring that title during Sunday night's post-Super Bowl edition of "The Office."
NBC has been referring to the project, from Greg Daniels and Michael Schur of "The Office," as the untitled Poehler/Daniels/Schur project. Last week, the New York Times reported that the series would likely be called "Public Service," leading a number of bloggers to declare that the show had a name.
Officials for NBC, however, declined to confirm "Public Service" as the title—because, as it turns out, that wasn't the show's name.
"Parks and Recreation" refers to the city government department for which Ms. Poehler's character will be working in the show.
The series premieres in April.

I have worked for a Public Works Parks department for 13 years now. We work very close with our towns Recreation Department. We provide a great service to our Town keeping our parks safe and well maintained. i could tell you some great stories that i have experienced over the years. It should be a great show if it's done correctly!

We were all talking about this at work today at Louden Nelson Communtiy Center. It is Parks and Recreation in Santa Cruz Ca. We all hope Amy will play the part of one of our Big Bosses she looks like her. Anyways we are all marking our calenders there is two kinds of Parks and Rec there is the office people and then the Parks clean-up and then the event staff so you got plenty of stuff to pull from I have worked here at Louden for about 14 yrs and I worked once for New York Parks and Rec at Pelham bay. Now those were some wild but friendly people!!
