CBS confirmed it has ordered two more cycles of Mark Burnett’s landmark reality series “Survivor.”
With the show continuing to bring in big numbers on Thursday nights, CBS on Thursday confirmed that it has given the the go-ahead to the 19th and 20th cycles of the series, which premiered in 2000. The two cycles will air during the 2009-10 season.
CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler called the series a “symbol of enduring quality and entertainment on primetime television. Every season delivers a fresh new adventure for viewers and a time period-winning performance on the network.”
