I have read some of Michael J. Fox's books, and he comes across as an incredible person, and his wife as well. I wish them both the best, and sincerely hope to see him beat Parkinson's.
He has never felt sorry for himself and always seems to look at all that he has to be grateful for in life.

My husband is awaiting a liver transplant and has been successful remaining optimistic until very recently.As he becomes more ill his ability to remain optimistic is challenged. We will tune in to learn from those wiser than us. Thanks Michael J.Fox!

As an optimist, it would be great if Michael J Fox would talk to me or any of the others who have completely recovered from Parkinson's. We certainly give reason for optimism. Yes, we CAN recover if we are preapred to dedicate ourselves to the emotional and physical work required.
I have tried to contact Michael J Fox a number of times since he went public with his diagnosis and regret that he has not responded - even with an acknowledgemnt for my books that I sent.
I just want to say to all of you - we CAN overcome Parkinson's NOW. There is help out there for you and you don't have to rely only on your doctors and western medicine.
Be an optimist and get well.

I've read his auto biography "Lucky Man" and its an inspiring story. The article here says its been a decade since he was diagnosed with Parkinson's but i think its closer to two as he kept it a secret for almost 8/9 years until it became too difficult for him to hide.

Michael, You are such an inspiration. I have agoraphobia and had my first panic attack when I was 19. I am going to be 75 in July. I have never been able to fight my way out of depression. I wrote some things down that were said in your show and I am going to read them every day. "Do The Right Thing", "Music is the soundtrack to optimisn". And you are so active, it encourages me to follow you. I admire you tremendously. I wish I had taped your show. Is it going to be on again? I have watched you since the beginning of Family Ties. I wish you nothing but good. Sharing what you have been through took a lot of courage and I am sure you helped a lot of people.

Just want to congratulate michael j. Fox for the energy he has always give to fight diseases.
I always admire you as an actor but, when i grow up, i was more fascinating by your psychologie.

I have no major illnesses....and I have spent most of life taking plunges expecting nothing but the worst to happen to me. Watching your show made me see that bad happens to me because I think it will. Sure bad things will happen reguardless but it's how I see and take the brunt of it that affects my life. I have little girl of my own and I pray that being negative isn't genetic......i called it protective but now I see for what it's worth....I'm just a negative person. Maybe Micheal can show me the way.

I would like to see this film. May when?? Did this air already in 2009?

Where can I see this again. I am a Special Education teacher and would like to show this to my kids.

I would like to use the May 2009 TV special at our local Parkinson Support Group.

Is it available for that purpose?
