'Brian McKnight' Picked Up by CW Plus Stations

Litton Entertainment’s “The Brian McKnight Show” added The CW Plus to its list of clearances for fall 2009, the distributor announced today.

The CW Plus is a collection of stations in markets smaller than the top 99 markets across the country. CW Plus stations are mainly programmed by the network, including daytime programming.

“We are delighted to welcome ‘The Brian McKnight Show’ to our lineup of CW affiliates,” Russ Myerson, executive vice president/general manager for CW Plus, said in a statement. “Brian is an enormously talented and versatile performer who is extremely well connected in the entertainment world. His great energy and enthusiasm, coupled with the production mastery of [showrunner] Larry Klein, should make this weekly program a must-see.”

The CW Plus stations joined the list of other “McKnight” clearances, including Tribune-owned WPIX in New York and Weigel-owned WCIU in Chicago, Litton said.

“McKnight” will air weekly and will feature live performances from Hollywood talent, musicians and comedians.
