I have ordered the MLB extra innings when will that start airing and what channels?

MLB Network HD is not free because the Verizon Extreme HD plan costs more than the Essential HD Plan. They added this to some lame sports package - golf, tennis, fishing. (You shouldn't be watching these "sports" on TV - you should be out in the fresh air participating in them.) Anyway, it seems to me that if its on Basic SD Cable then they should be giving it on their basic HD service. I would gladly give up QVC HD, Home Shopping Network HD, FOX Business HD and FOX News Channel HD, not to mention every HD Lifetime branded network, to get MLB Network HD. Pretty soon that little FiOS Guy is going to be taking away HD stations so he can charge us more for them by adding them to a new tier. Maybe that Cable Guy is watching the Weightlifting Channel and some day he will kick the FiOS guys' butt.

Imagine that... more HD channels cost more money. When will the insanity end?

I just got the verizon package and I got the extreme HD plan. Iam going to get the MLB extra
innings also,but if they raise the price once I will cancel and go back to cox and direct tv.
I see no change in the tv or the internet like

When will the games start on FiOS Extra Innings? The Guide shows only NHL on 1474-1488.

If you go to the NHL channels that are listed on the guide they are currently showing MLB games. I don't get Extra Innings but I guess they are giving people a free week or so to get them interested. Currently the Mets/Reds game is on 1487 and 1488 (one's HD) and the Rangers-Indians game is on 1486.

Terriers01... just an FYI, MLB extra innings generally gives you a free trial the first week of the season and again the week following the all-star break.

Ron - I concur. A la carte channel packages would be ideal, but an NCAA football playoff system will be in place before cable companies offer something like this - they'd lose waaay too much revenue from these other horrible channels.

So, rather than allowing Verizon to "choose" "up to" 80 games weekly for you, I'd advise you to instead purchase the MLBtv package for $109 (mlb.com) and watch any game you want (up to 4 at a time) on your big-screen PC monitor. Screw 'em.

verison fios has the yes network as of april 6th it carrys everything but live yankees baseball the games are rebroadcast later if you want to stay up all night to watch ??????????

I just noticed that Verizon Fios here in Boston has the YES network... but, the Yankee games are not broadcast.... I can't get anyone at Verizon to confirm this, or explain why...

Today I notice the Red Sox/Angels game on NESN in HD...but my fios feed is showing it in standard def. Should I panic?!

I just talked to the YES network... They claim they are not allowed to broadcast games outside the NY area. MLB controls this supposedly. I tried to explain that having the YES network without the games is a waste...

i live in south jersey and do receive YES HD from fios and also can't watch any of the games live, however my home town of hazleton, PA can. So it is not true that the YES network is not allowed to broadcast games outside of the NY area. i think it has something to do with verizon since all cable companies in that area carry YES and broadcast the games live. That area is closer to Philadelphia than NY. i had to waste money and buy the ticket even though there should have been no need for that since I recevie YES and am only interested in watching the yankees. verizon probably purpsely blacks out the games so people like myself pay the extra money for the ticket.

Yes, you should panic. Verizon charges the same as Direct TV but has only 10 games a week in HD. Direct TV has 40 a week. Feel cheated? I do. I outta Verizon!

why can't I get saturday aftewrnoon games on mlb here in fl.

i purchased the second half of the season for $139. As a Cubs fan living in DE, I was excited to get what I thought would be EVERY game. If this is what you are expecting, you are wrong. There have been 5 games so far that haven't aired, including 3 Saturday afternoon games. Yes, it is better then not having the extra innings package, but I am still not satisfied. 13 games a day usually turns out to be about 6 or 7 because of blackouts and the same game being aired on multiple channels. I am angry when three games are being played on multiple channels, but the Cubs game doesn't get aired at all.

Does the $169.00 include all of the games through the world series? Any idea what the price will be for the 2010 season? When should I pre-pay to have it and what channels would the games be viewed on?

I subscribed to MLB Exta Innings last year and it cost me $199! It seems to me Verizon should be asking me now, before April 12th, if I am interested. For the people who have subscribed for 2010, and had the service last year, did Verizon contact you or did you have to initiate action?

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.
