TV.com Signs Content Deals With Starz, NCAA

TV.com has made several content deals, brings its video library to more than 2,000 hours of content.

The new content deals with NCAA and its content library rightsholder, Thought Equity Motion, and Starz Media are in addition to existing agreements with Endemol USA, Metro Goldwin Mayer Studios, PBS, Showtime, Sony Pictures Television and CBS.

The NCAA deal will make Men’s Final Four semifinal and final games from 1982-2008 available on the Web site in their entirety and in two-minute highlight packages.

The Starz Media deal calls for the Web site to host shows from Starz Media’s Magna Entertainment, such as “Astro Boy,” “Virus,” “Ninja Scroll,” “Kai Doh Maru,” “Street Fighter Alpha” and “Hellboy: Blood and Iron.”

TV.com also has signed content deals with niche content providers Smithsonian Channel, Comedy Time, Howcast and WatchMojo.
