'Jonas' Scores Big in Ratings for Disney Channel

Saturday night's premiere of "Jonas" on the Disney Channel ranked as the No. 1 show for the night among younger audiences.

"Jonas," starring musical stars the Jonas Brothers, pulled in 4 million total viewers for its 8 p.m. half-hour, including 1.6 million kids 6-11 and 1.6 million tweens 9-14.

Saturday's telecast edged out the premiere of Nickelodeon's "Fairly OddParents: Wishology, Part 2" by 11% among total viewers and also ranked as the Disney Channel's best performance in the 8-8:30 p.m. half-hour in eight months among total viewers, kids and tweens.

Good for them. Jonas was a great show! We plan on watching it every week. Not sure why Disney put it on a Saturday. That really isn't a traditional TV night in my area anyway. Friday and Sunday are far better spots. Hopefully it continues to do well.

Except the new iCarly got 6.5 million total viewers on Saturday night at 8. Their reruns also beat the JONAS new episode.

Yeah, um, iCarly has been beating the CRAP out of Jonas with ratings. Like Ava said, the RERUNS are even getting higher ratings than Jonas PREMIERES. Suck it Disney.
