The Federal Communications Commission today released a concise statement containing its plan in the event of a partial government shutdown, which some observers expect to happen tonight.
Brian Hart, the director of the FCC’s Office of Media Relations, said the agency plans to remain open. Hart issued a statement that says in its entirety: “In the event of a partial government shutdown, because of available funding, the Federal Communications Commission plans to remain open and pay staff at least through the close of business on Friday, January 26.”
