Betty White, whose many TV roles included "The Golden Girls" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," will receive a life achievement award from the Screen Actors Guild at its 16th annual SAG Awards on Jan. 23, Variety reports.

White, who started in the business in 1949 on KLAC-TV’s variety show "Hollywood on Television," is shooting a Disney feature and is a regular guest on "The Late, Late Show With Craig Ferguson."
