"This American Life" host Ira Glass said Wednesday night that the TV version of his hit public radio show is ending its run on Showtime, Fishbowl NY reports.

During a panel discussion at Manhattan’s 92nd Street Y, Glass said, "I don’t know if I can say this yet, but we’ve asked to be taken off of television." The program garnered four Emmy nominations this year.
