Ratings are in for premiere week of the 2018-2019 broadcast TV season, and for the 10th consecutive year, CBS claimed a win in total viewers.
CBS averaged 8.355 million viewers, a margin of almost a half-million viewers over NBC, which placed second in the metric with 7.869 million. ABC was third with 5.430 million, followed by Fox with 3.908 million.
NBC, however, won the key 18-49 demo, where CBS came in third behind Fox. In adults 25-54, NBC was first with CBS and Fox tied for second.
