Emmy-winner Kevin Hooks, , who was both an execurtive producer and director on Fox’s "Prison Break," has been hired to work on ABC’s new fall drama "Detroit 1-8-7," reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Hooks will executive produce and direct at least two episodes. Hooks also executive produced and shot the pilot for ABC Family’s "Lincoln Heights."
