The Hallmark Channel ordered a two-hour pilot featuring Jane Seymour as TV host moonlighting as a mystery solver, Daily Variety reports. “Dear Prudence” may be extended into another two-hour movie if the ratings justify it, the newspaper says, citing pilot co-author and co-executive producer Les Alexander.

Jane’s character is a cross between Martha Stewart and Jessica Fletcher – add to that beautiful and British and you have an irresistable combination. This is the kind of family fare that’s really been missing on television lately. August 23 can’t come soon enough for me!
