Performances by Justin Bieber and Take That on "Wanna Bet?," Germany’s top TV variety show, were canceled after an amateur stuntman was severely injured during a stunt staged during the live show’s broadcast, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

The 23-year-old man was trying to jump over a speeding car driven by his father when he hit the windshield and crashed to the ground. He was taken to hospital and is in a medically induced coma undergoing treatment for a severe spinal injury, the Reporter says.

The longrunning show was immediately canceled by broadcaster ZDF, the report says.
