The Daytime Emmys for the first time this year will have a special category for court shows, Daily Variety reports. Series such as “Judge Judy” until now were eligible only for the “special class series” category, the newspaper says. Daytime Emmy nominees will be announced April 30 while the Awards show will take place at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre June 20.
