The Disney Channel has given a pilot order for a show about a teenage zombie, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s The Live Feed blog. 

"Zombies and Cheerleaders" will follow high school student Zed Necrodopolis, a zombie who wears a watch that keeps him from eating his classmates, the story says. Despite this, he isn’t popular with the school’s cheerleaders, the piece notes.

The project will be music-driven, and hails from "Scrubs" and "Death Valley" producer Eric Weinberg, the piece adds.
