CBS plans to shake things up with its Thursday night lineup, pulling a long-running comedy off the schedule to make room for a new show, TVLine.com reports.
Starting Jan. 12, the network will air a new family sitcom starring Rob Schneider called "¡Rob!" To make room in the schedule for the comedy, the long-running "Rules of Engagement" will be shelved until later in the season, the story reports.
"¡Rob!" tells the story of a former bachelor who finds the love of his life, marries her and becomes part of her close Mexican-American family. It will air Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET, after the hit show "The Big Bang Theory" at 8 p.m.
CBS has decided to trim the season episode order for "Rules" from 20 — 18 new shows and two leftovers from last season — to 15 total for this season.
The network also announced that the reality show "Undercover Boss" is coming back for a third season on Sunday, Jan. 15, at 8 p.m. ET, and "Amazing Race" will kick off a new race in the spring.
