A Western drama series that has performed well for its cable network — including setting a ratings record with its premiere last month — will return for another season, B&C reports. The series, “Longmire,” was picked up by A&E for season two, the story reports.
The report notes: “The Sunday night drama set a ratings record for the network in its debut June 3, premiering to 4.1 million total viewers as well as 1.4 million in the adults 25-54 demo.”
The drama, based on the Walt Longmire book series by Craig Johnson, stars Robert Taylor as the sheriff of the title and Katee Sackhoff as his new deputy.
