Robin Roberts, whose battle with a rare blood disorder was chronicled on the morning show she hosts, ABC’s "Good Morning America," has inked a deal to write about her struggle in a new memoir, reports The New York Times.

The untitled book will be released in April 2014. Her publisher, Hachette’s Grand Central Publishing, said the book would focus on her illnesses (she was previously treated for breast cancer), as well as "the life lessons she continues to learn, and her inspiring return to the ‘GMA’ anchor desk.”

Separately, CNN’s Piers Morgan has also set a deal to write a memoir, which will be released in October, reports TVNewser.

Morgan’s book is called "Shooting Straight: Guns, Gays, God, and George Clooney," and will focus on his time at CNN. It will be written in a diary format similar to his last memoir, "The Insider."
