The cast of the Showtime crime drama series "Ray Donovan" is getting a big-name boost with the addition of an Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning actress.
Variety reports that Ann-Margret is joining the show’s second season in a recurring role.
She’ll play June Wilson, a former star who shares a past with Ezra Goldman (Elliott Gould), Donovan’s boss. Other notable guest stars are slated to appear in the next season, including Hank Azaria and Wendell Pierce, the piece notes.
Ann-Margret has been nominated twice for Oscars — in 1972 for her supporting role in "Carnal Knowledge" and in 1976 for her lead role in "Tommy." She has five Golden Globe trophies, and won a Primetime Emmy in 2010 for her guest role on "Law & Order: SVU."
The second season of "Ray Donovan," starring Liev Schreiber and Paula Malcomson, will air this summer.
